A Heart Full of Thanks and Butterflies

There are moments in life that feel both surreal and sacred, and for me, the launch of my debut book, From the Loquat Tree, was one of them.
To everyone who attended, sent a message, shared a post, or simply whispered a word of encouragement my way, thank you. Your support fills me with so much gratitude; my cup is truly filled.
Now, let’s talk about the nerves. I must be honest, I was jittery like I’d had three espressos and a handful of sugar. My nervous energy could have powered a small city! Standing in front of a room full of loved ones and readers, holding a book that carries my heart and my memories, it felt a little like standing there emotionally naked to the world. Vulnerable, but somehow beautifully alive.
And then I looked out and saw you all, your smiles, your nods, your warmth, and something inside me softened. The jitters gave way to joy. I realized this wasn’t just my moment; it was ours. Every hug, every encouraging word, every laugh reminded me of the community and resilience that inspired From the Loquat Tree in the first place.
So thank you for being there, for cheering me on, and for making the afternoon one I’ll never forget.
This writing journey has been equal parts humbling and hilarious. One minute I’m confident, the next I’m wondering if I remembered to breathe, but your support keeps me grounded, rooted, and brave enough to keep sharing my stories.
With all my heart (and a still-slightly-nervous laugh),
