Monday Blues

We’ve all been there: the clammy dread you feel as the weekend winds down and you’re left with a severe case of the “Monday blues” — that down, the lethargic sensation at the start of a new work week and the anxiety of the tasks ahead.
Welcome to another week working with the parameters of social distancing. The working world has spent the last few weeks changing everything about our daily routines. And because a large amount of our population is part of the essential work force, the stay-at-home order does not pertain to you.
Coming off a super relaxing, nothing filled Covid-19, “Safe at home” weekend and making the transition to a less than spectacular workday on Monday can be very discouraging in the midst of a pandemic. Monday mornings used to be the start of a wonderful week of happy kids and happy faces.
What is constant in my normal everyday life? Waking up, going to work and washing my hands. What is not normal, Covid-19 and how this pandemic feels like an endless abyss of face masks, latex free gloves and six feet of social distancing. We certainty know that we’ll be different as a nation once we emerge from this current situation.
